Rio 2016: Sussex's Mitchell leads Great Britain into Olympics semi-finals after sudden death drama

Great Britain's rugby 7s squad, lead by Cuckfield's Tom Mitchell, won a tense Olympics quarter-final, beating Argentina 5-0 thanks to a sudden death try by Dan Bibby.

After a goalless first seven minutes, Great Britain had the advantage of the wind in the second half but could not make it count and the game went into sudden death.

Mitchell nearly kicked Great Britain to victory but his penalty drop goal rebounded off the post.

But as the tension built, Bibby ran through to score a try and win the game.

In the group stages Great Britain won all three games against Kenya, Japan and New Zealand.

Great Britain will play the winner of Australia and South Africa in the semi finals tomorrow.
