Dover 2-0 Lewes

REVENGE was sweet for Dover as they defeated Lewes 2-0 at The Crabble.

The result came as pay-back for The Rooks' 6-2 win over The Whites on Boxing day, although with 20 minutes to play the score was still 0-0.

The deadlock was finally broken on 71 minutes when Dover skipper Olly Schulz found the net and Adam Birchall wrapped up the points with a penalty in the final minute.

The win moves Dover up to third while Lewes stay third from bottom.

The Rooks host Eastleigh in the league on Wednesday night, 7.45pm kick off.
