All change at Hailsham as Daubeney steps down and Shearing takes charge

Hailsham Town manager Paul Daubeney has stepped down from the role before taking charge of competitive match.

Daubeney, who replaced previous boss Ian Stevens at the end of last season, left the position due to work commitments.

The club have installed experienced County League manager Dave Shearing for the coming Southern Combination Premier campaign.

A satement from Hailsham Town read, “The club have asked Dave Shearing to step in as manager in Paul’s place.

“Dave is experienced and brings plenty of enthusiasm to see his local club succeed.”

Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30, and the club would like to welcome all new and existing players.

Shearing is talking to backroom staff, however any additional interest is welcome and he can be contacted directly on 07710 161552.

The first preseason friendly will then take place on Tuesday 26th July, at home to Rusthall (7.30pm), followed by another home game against Southend Manor on Saturday 30th July (3pm).
