A bumper Bank Holiday of football lies in store today (Monday) with all four of the area’s senior clubs scheduled to be in action.

Hastings United will resume their Ryman Football League Division One South campaign with a trip to Walton Casuals this afternoon. Kick-off is 3pm.

The U’s bounced back from losing 4-1 at home to Folkestone Invicta in the league last Tuesday with a 3-0 win away to Cray Valley Paper Mills in the FA Cup on Saturday.

And they will be seeking more of the same against a Walton side which lies 20th in the early league table with three points from five games. United are in eighth place with nine points from five matches.

Elsewhere, Bexhill United, Little Common and Westfield will be in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League action this morning, with each game kicking-off at 11am.

In-form Common will be targeting a fourth straight victory in all competitions when they host Ringmer in Division One. Common will be full of confidence after winning 6-1 away to Sidlesham on Saturday.

Bexhill are away to Saltdean United in the same division. Bexhill had won three consecutive matches prior to Saturday’s 5-0 defeat against higher grade Faversham Town in the FA Cup, while Saltdean have picked up one point from three league matches.

Westfield will be seeking to continue their two-match winning start in Division Two when they entertain a Rottingdean Village side which has won one and lost one so far.
