Newhaven manager Paul Harrison expressed himself delighted with the turnout he has had in pre-season training, with 26-30 players in attendance.
The Dockers returned to pre-season training a week earlier than most other clubs, with their third session held earlier this week.
Harrison said: “We had a good response. There was about 26 to 30 people training.
“That was reserve and first team and we had most of the old squad coming back.
“And I’m in the process of talking to another three (players).
“Hopefully we’ll have some news within the next two weeks.”
Jason Edwards and Richie Watton have left the club.
