LIVERPOOL are reportedly moving forward with their bid to bring exciting Greek youngster Kyriakos Papadopoulos to Anfield.

Boss Brendan Rodgers is a long-term admirer of the Schalke 04 centre-back, and is seen as an part of his plans to replace Reds stalwart Jamie Carragher.Papadopoulos made just 10 appearances for the German side last season, down from 29 in 2011. Daily Star

REAL Madrid captain Iker Casillas rates Gareth Bale as “one of the top three or four players in Europe” - and you can’t put a price on that, except that a Spanish media report claims Tottenham are holding out for £126million for the Welshman. ROMANIAN defender Vlad Chiriches is set to join Tottenham, and has been backed by national team boss Victor Piturca to be a success in the Premier League. Reports in Chiriches homeland suggest that Spurs have agreed a £6.9m fee with the player’s club, Steaua Bucharest, and that the 23-year-old will soon travel to England to undergo a medical and negotiate personal terms.
