Hailsham Town joint manager Andy Goodchild is hoping a “change of coaching philosophy” along with the changed look to the Stringers squad will make for a successful season this campaign.

He said: “With a complete change of personnel and coaching philosophy, the 2013/2014 season is very much a building year for our club.

“We are looking to attract players who want to get the ball down and play possession football. Players that above all seek enjoyment from the game over monetary reward.

“The hope is that by playing attractive football we with entertain and encourage support but that results will follow over time.

“Whilst we would love to achieve Ryman status it would be a lot to ask in the first year of consolidation, so our expectation is more realistic of a top half finish. I would be delighted to win more games than we lose in very simple terms!”
