The 7th Lewes FC Super Vets Tournament started under a dipping evening sun at the Dripping Pan on Sunday evening.
The first semi saw Sporting Falmer and Southdown Swanderers play out a 0-0 stalemate.
Penalties saw two outstanding saves from the Swanderers keeper Don McGillivray and Southdown triumph 3-1.
The second semi saw holders Inter Milandport take on Western Road Stripes.
The Stripes eased to a 2-0 lead but a late own goal saw a nervous final few minutes but they held out for a 2-1 victory.
The 3rd place play off saw a 10 goal fest as Milandport found their scoring boots and won 8-2.
The final was a much tighter affair decided by two Barneys. Barney Cockerell, Stripes captain and keeper pulled off two great saves, before at the other end Barney Kaufmann cooly slotted home the winner to leave Western Road Stripes as 2014 Champions.
A great evening at the Pan supported by Lewes FC, with the whole 3 hour tournament reffed by Lewes FC stalwart Barry Collins.
