Peacehaven went out of the FA Vase 2-1 away at Larkhall Athletic despite taking the lead at Bath.
Peacehaven went ahead when a Rob O’Toole cross deflected and looped over the Larkhall keeper but the hosts equalised before half time when a good curled Nat Auckland free kick went in past Joe Adams.
And the Larks won it early in the second half thanks to a disputed penalty, converted by Simon Gilbert.
In Sussex County League Division One, Hailsham Town lost 3-1 away at Pagham.
Howard Neighbour missed a penalty for Pagham on 27 minutes but made up for it with a cracker two minutes before the break to put the Lions in 1-0 up at the interval.
Scott Murfin doubled Pagham’s lead 10 minutes after half time and James Temple made it 3-0 on 74 minutes.
Trevor McCreadie pulled one back with a looping shot on 79 minutes.
In Division Two, Newhaven let a 3-0 lead slip away to Little Common before scoring two late goals to win 5-3.
In the same division Seaford Town won 2-0 away to Southwick, Scott Dartnall getting both goals: on 25 and 73 minutes.
But Saltdean United lost by the same scoreline away at Storrington.
Lewes’ Ryman Premier League game at Wingate and Finchley was called off, as were Ringmer’s, AFC Uckfield’s and Uckfield Town’s games in the Sussex County League.
