Two consecutive league victories have launched Seaford Town off the bottom of the Southern Combination Premier Division One.

Their second league win of the season came in a tight game at home to Midhurst & Easebourne last Saturday. Matt Acton grabbed the winner on 70 minutes to double Seaford’s points tally for campaign and lifted them to 15th place.

Seaford couldn’t harness the momentum they had gained from the league victory as their cup woes continued. They slipped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Little Common in the SCFA Senior Cup courtesy of a 9th minute strike from Jamie Crone.

There is no league game this weekend for Seaford, they return to cup action on Tuesday in the second round of the Challenge Cup away to Saltdean.
