The result of our Sussex Express Rooks Player of the Month Award for November

LEWES FC’s Nic Ciardini is rapidly becoming Steve King’s Mr Reliable after the left back/winger became become the first player to pick up two Sussex Express Lewes FC Player of the Month awards. Nic was our sports editor’s choice for the November award. On loan keeper Fabian Speiss pushed him hard for the final nod, and the stopper had, in fact, a fractionally higher average mark from his six games played, but with Nic playing to a consistently high standard over an exhausting eight games across the month, we felt those two extra shifts meant he was thoroughly deserving of the accolade. Nic also picked up the award last month, although that time it was jointly awarded with his captain, Steve Robinson, after the pair of them dead-heated for first place. But although Robbo had yet another fine month (also playing to a consistently high standard across eight games), this time he wasn’t quite able to match his defensive partner’s impressive average mark of 7.13. Nic receives his award before tomorrow’s kick off. Well done, again, Nic!
