Peacehaven earned themselves an away trip to Haverhill in the third round of the FA Vase after a fine 3-0 away win at Oxford City Nomads on Saturday.
The south coast side had brought plenty of supporters with them and the coachload of Tye fans had plenty to cheer after goals from Joe Dryer, Wes Tate and Carl Dunk saw the Sussex County League side knock out their south midlands hosts.
The first goal came on 27 minutes when a cross from out wide traced through the area before being turned in by Dryer on the six yard box. Then a minute into the second half an inswinging corner led to a kung fu-style challenge on Ashley Jones and the referee pointed to the spot. Wes Tate drove the ball into the bottom left corner for a valuable second. And the game was won when, with 11 minutes to go, a deflected Dunk half volley looped into the top corner.
