Glynde’s Village Cup match rescheduled after match abandoned without a ball bowled.

Glynde’s Persimmon Cup match away with Rottingdean was abandoned without a ball being bowled on Sunday (June 12).

The National Village Cup competition rules now state that the fixture will take place this coming Sunday, June 19, with the fixture now taking place at Glynde, with a 1pm start.

This will be an advantage to Glynde, as they will have Joe Adams returning to their side. Dale Tranter, however, has once again broken down and is expected to be out for another two weeks.

As is usual for National Village Cup games at the Recreation Ground, a decent crowd is expected at Glynde on Sunday, and anyone interested in seeing the 2009 winners of the event is more than welcome to come along and show their support.
