Hailsham under 9s travelled to Heathfield Park on Sunday morning full of confidence of the back of some great recent victories.
Losing the toss and being asked to field first Hailsham were very loose with the bowling and fielding.
Bowling endless wides and gifting the opposition easy runs, meant Hailsham were making very hard work for themselves. The following 8 overs saw Hailsham up there game and restrict Heathfield to 70-5 from their 16 overs, with Sully Hallett 4-6 from 3 overs being the standout bowler.
In reply Hailsham got off to a solid start through Bayly Wright and Jake Hele but the real acceleration came from Ed Horrigan who scored a rapid 19 runs. It was then left to Sully to see Hailsham comfortably home with 33 not out as Hailsham ended up on 129-3.
A great second half performance from the boys means they now are 6 from 6 in the 2014 season. The Homely Maid man of the match went to Sully Hallett, for a faultless display with bat and ball.
