Heathfield face their toughest test with Brighton double-header

TABLE-TOPPING Heathfield & Waldren face the toughest test to their unbeaten campaign so far this Saturday.

The team have a perfect 12 wins from 12 record in the London 3 South East league so far but travel to in-form Brighton for a game with twice as much significance.

Joint-second Brighton will be chomping at the bit to close the gap but both sides have the added incentive of the game also doubling as a Sussex Trophy quarter final because of the fixture congestion caused by the weather.

Head coach Dave Jones said: "It's a massive game this Saturday away to Brighton and it's a double header so we could either take two points in the league and go further in the Sussex Trophy or lose two points and go out of the competition.

He added: "No one is getting carried away at the club, there is a long way still to go and there's probably five or six teams capable of winning this league.

"There is still plenty of hard work to be done and we have a lot of respect for all the sides in this league, and because they are so strong the only way we can guarantee the league is by going through the season unbeaten."
