Heathfield's unbeaten run finally comes to an end

HEATHFIELD & Waldren RFC's unbeaten league run came to an end with a 15-5 defeat at Brighton.

The result meant a extra blow for Heathfield as the match doubled as a Sussex Trophy quarter final because of the fixture congestion caused by the weather.

The visitors conceded an early penalty but rallied to claim the first try, Simon Wilson diving over for a 5-3 lead after 30 minutes.

It proved Heathfield's only points however as the hosts scored two tries to run out victors and close the gap at the top of the London 3 South East league.
