Ibbo unimpressed with Thurrock defeat

ROOKS manager Steve Ibbitson was left unimpressed with yesterday's 3-1 defeat at Thurrock.

After a goalless first 45 minutes the hosts' first two goals came from crosses into the box which were not dealt with properly by the Lewes defence.

Inbetween Jack Walder had equalised with a fine left-footed finish but as Ibbitson's men pushed for a second leveller Thurrock struck again late to take all three points.

The defeat sees Lewes slip back into the bottom three just 48 hours after their magnificent 6-2 defeat of Dover had elevated them out of the relegation zone for the first time since August.

Ibbitson said: "We didn't play well at all and created very little, a few players looked tired and one or two youngsters may need a bit of a rest.

"Thurrock are a good side and they deserved their win but we played poorly and it was very disappointing after Saturday."
