Keehan eyes first away win for Rooks after his Weston-Super-Mare brace

SATURDAY'S two-goal hero Joe Keehan believes their comfortable win over Weston-Super-Mare can give them the confidence to take all six points from their next two crucial games.

Both the midfielder's goals came via the penalty spot handing The Rooks a vital 2-0 home win over their fellow relegation rivals.

On Tuesday Lewes travel to struggling Dorchester before next Saturday's away trip to bottom side Weymouth and Keehan believes they can not only pick up their first win on their travels but take maximum points.

He said: "We needed a win there and now we need to take it on and beat Dorchester and Weymouth.

"Everyone's confident, I think we've been confident from the start of the season but we just needed to get some results, to get together and score goals and that's what we've started to do.

"Hopefully (we can get our first away win), there's a first for everything and now we'll go down there (Dorchester) with confidence and try and get a result."

Lewes have missed a number of spot kicks this season and Keehan revealled that there was some debate as to who should shoulder the responsibility.

"We didn't know who was going to take them but I stepped up and scored them so it was a good day for me," the club's top scorer with eight goals this season.

Lewes thought they should have been awarded a third penalty when Kane Louis went down in the box in the second half but this time referee Mr Cook waved away the protests.

"Kane was trying to have the second one (penalty) and he was saying he was definitely going to have the third one but I wasn't going to let him," Keehan continued.

"I thought it was a penalty to be honest with you, I think the referee had given two penalties and didn't want to give a third one."
