Lewes FC's Ibbitson hoping for a beer-tiful day

WHEN the Worcester players take to the pitch at The Dripping Pan on Saturday, one man in-particular hopes they will be feeling a little worse for wear.

The Worcester players will be making an early trip down to Lewes tonight (Friday) - the same evening as the Lewes FC Beer Festival at The Dripping Pan.

Rooks manager Steve Ibbitson joked: "I know Worcester are staying down here Friday, we might invite them and hope they have a few too many!"

Joking aside, Ibbitson knows the seriousness of the weekend's match and will be hoping that his side won't be suffering a hangover of their own after the game.

The implications could have a huge effect in the fight to stay up with Worcester just two points above Lewes in the league, who currently sit third from bottom.
