Eagles gear up for tonight’s ‘do or die’ clash with Belle Vue with thumping weekend win over same team

Eastbourne Eagles geared up for tonight’s (Monday) “do or die” clash with Belle Vue with a thumping win over the Manchester team at Arlington on Saturday.

The 61-29 victory clearly demonstrated the home team’s measure of superiority.

It was a morale boosting win with the visiting team vacating their part of the pits at the stadium within minutes of the chequered flag falling on the final race.

All the Eastbourne riders scored heavily and it certainly will have boosted morale prior to the return match.

The Lifestyle Eagles are still third in the Elite League but their play-off place is by no means secure.

They have four away matches to complete their fixtures with one win and probably two necessary to secure a top-four finish.

One of their bast chances of success comes with the match at rock-bottom Belle Vue.
