Eagles’ match at Kings Lynn falls victim to the weather

Eastbourne ‘Lifestyle’ Eagles scheduled visit to King’s Lynn’s Norfolk Area on Wednesday evening fell victim to freak weather conditions that blighted the area just ahead of the scheduled start time.

The match had been in some doubt with showers having fallen during the afternoon but with conditions seemingly improving, track preparation commenced at 6.30pm, the start time being put back to 7.45pm to allow this.

However, the black clouds started to gather with monsoon conditions soon following.

At that point there was no prospect whatsoever of the meeting going ahead and a halt was swiftly called.

The re-arranged match is now scheduled for August 8.
