Seven youngsters successfully earned promotion at Bridgeview Judo Club’s latest grading. Niah Salmon, Max Timlin and Olivia Akehurst all moved to the top of the red belt section as they converted second mons to third mons.
Abi Timlin made even better progress as she started off as a second mon and went home as a fourth mon, hence earning her yellow belt. Jake Salmon similarly changed the colour of his belt by moving up from third to fourth mon, whilst his brother Daniel excelled with promotion from third to fifth mon.
Already in the yellow belt section, Eleanor Kearley-Whitmore eased her way from fourth to fifth mon with a confident display of Judo techniques and etiquette.
These junior successes have set the pace for the senior players due to grade next week, and Bridgeview’s coaching team remain optimistic.
