Have your say

Here is an offer you should not refuse and will always be thankful that you gave it a try.

Bowls is a game for everyone no matter your sex, physique, age or sporting ability.

It is a simple game to learn but can take a little longer to master. Let us show you the basics and you may, as many beginners do, soon get hooked wishing to improve. No need to be particularly competitive as most play just for the joy of meeting new friends and getting out in the fresh air.

We can provide everything to get you started all we ask is that you wear some flat shoes or trainers. Our sessions for beginners run from May 6th onwards through the Spring & Summer months and over a four week period you will learn all the basic rules of the game and have much fun to boot!

To get started give Roy Williams a call on 01342 300843

West Hoathly Bowls Club is based in a wonderful location with views towards the South Downs and alongside the cricket green. We are close by ‘The Cat’ Public house just 3 miles from Turners Hill and 6 miles from East Grinstead. We boast one of the best bowls greens in the county which is fully maintained by the club members. Alongside is our well fitted Club House with good changing facilities and lounge areas and not forgetting the well stocked bar.

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming mixed club with options for players of all abilities and ages to join us. Our membership offers excellent value for money and is designed to enable players to get the most out of their bowls as a newcomer or even as a county bowler. We offer opportunities to play competitive bowls in our many friendly matches, league games, competitions etc.

We also arrange a variety of very popular social events and provide Short Mat bowling, Bridge Club and even Line Dancing to while away the winter months.
