GOLFERS at Lewes GC competed for the Centenary Cup on Sunday, June 10. The winner with an outstanding 46 points off his 17 handicap was Richard Turner.
Second was Rob James with 43 points and third was Ian Birch with 41 points.
The midweek medal of June 7 was won by Roy Linstrem with net 68 and second was Des Taylor with a net 74.
The Eclectic played on June 12 was won by Joe Pearson with 30 points, Stewart Begbie was second with 28 points and Kevin Shah was third on countback with 28 points.
The Lewes seniors have started their matches for 2012 in good style.
Having played 10 they have won at home to West Hove, Royal Eastbourne, Dale Hill, East Brighton, Eastbourne Downs, Wellshurst and away at Holtye.
Two halved matches away at Cooden Beach and Hawkhurst add to the tally and, to date the only loss was away at Willingdon. Well done to all those who have played.
