Lewes seal vital three points in Thursday night victory over Margate

Lewes picked up a vital three points in their bid to avoid the drop with a deserved 2-0 victory over Margate tonight (Thursday).

The Rooks took the lead just before half time when Karl Beckford put Nathan Crabb in and his shot deflected in off a defender.

And the points were sealed in second half injury time whe Steve Brinkhurst slotted home.

Other results in the Ryman Premier tonight saw Hastings win 2-0 at home to Harrow Borough and Thurrock lose 2-1 away to Leiston.

That means Lewes move up one place to 19th in the table, with Wingate and Finchley dropping into the bottom two relegation positions.
