Medals galore for Hailsham swim stars

Hailsham swimmers were on form at the Littlehampton Development Chaser, held at the Felpham Leisure Centre on Sunday 29th September 2014. Collectively the team came away with 40 medals, including 14 golds.

Ben Kebbell (15) put in proficient performances throughout the day, to achieve gold medals in all events: 100m Backstroke, 200m Individual Medley, 100m Butterfly, 200m and 100m Breaststroke.

Tom Barden (11) had a good competition, finishing in gold medal position in the 100m Butterfly and Freestyle events. Both in personal best times, and he added to his collection of county times. Tom also gained bronze in 100m Breaststroke.

Nathan Pashler (17) and Craig Steenhoff (31) took top spot winning the 200m Freestyle and 100m Butterfly repectively.

Well done to nine year old Ben Shorthouse on achieving his first County qualifing time in 50m Backstroke, and Thomas Jackson (11) on achieving additional Winter County qualifying times.

Maddie Drury (15) had a clean sweep of golds in the races she entered, winning the 200m and 100m Freestyle, and 200m Backstroke races. Maddie also achieved winter Regional times in 200m Freestyle and 200m Backstroke.

Adelaide Barden (14) gained the gold in 100m Butterfly, and bronze in 200m Individual Medley, in a new best race time of 2.58.04.

Lexie Coleman performed well in the 200m Backstroke, winning the event in a new personal best of 2.47.66. Lexie secured silver in the 200m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke, and bronze in 200m Breaststroke.
