Lewes FC’s game at home to Margate tomorrow has been called off due to the extreme weather conditions.

The club reported: “The Ryman League game v Margate on Saturday 19th January, not surprising, has officially been called off today at 11.00.

“Even without the reent heavy snowfall the pitch has been frozen solid for two days and would have been called off anyway.”

Peacehaven’s big FA Vase game at Larkhill Athletic was also called off. The club tweeted: “Tomorrow’s FA Vase game has been postponed to Saturday 26th at 3pm.”

Teams in the Sussex County Football League have been urged to show ‘common sense’ in dealing with decision regarding their games.
