Lewes Football Club are still aiming to install their new first team manager by the end of this month.
At the time of going to press yesterday (Thursday) lunchtime, Rooks directors were still in the process of interviewing the six names to have made the club’s shortlist – following an impressive number of applications made for the job to the Dripping Pan outfit by their May 13 deadline.
It is believed that not all of the six candidates had been interviewed by our press deadline yesterday – but that the club was hopeful of completing ‘first’ interviews with them all by the end of this week.
Lewes FC Director Charlie Dobres yesterday told the Sussex Express that the club was “on course” to appoint a new manager by the end of this month. The manager’s post was made vacant when the Rooks parted company with then first team player/manager Simon Wormull at the end of April.
