Seaford Striders go west

SEVENTEEN Senior Seaford Striders and six juniors travelled to West Sussex for the Horsham 10k and junior races on Sunday, May 8.

For the seniors this was the fifth event in this years Sussex Grand Prix series. There were 359 finishers.

First home for the club was Colin Hannant in a good time of 40mins 04secs. First lady for the club was Natasha Swan also with a good time of 42mins 55secs.

Junior Races: U12 Boys. Ben Martin 6 mins 18 secs, Bailey Turvey 7 mins 07 secs. U14 Boys. James Martin 7 mins 20 secs. 14 Year Girls. Annie Line (1st place) 7 mins 22 secs, Alice Line (2nd place) 7 mins 40 secs, Hannah Dray 8 mins 47 secs.

On Sunday, May 15, 15 Striders travelled to Hastings for the sixth event in this years Sussex Grand Prix series, the Hastings 5 miles. There were 328 finishers.

First home for the club was Phillip Carr in 21st place overall with a good time of 30mins 21secs.

First lady for the club was Ladies Captain Diane Fletcher also with a good time of 35mins 45secs.
