Biggest worry in the Eastbourne Eagles camp so far this season is the form of captain Cameron Woodward. Last year he was on fire but at the moment he just cannot seem to get going.
At home to King’s Lynn on Monday his performance was far from what we expect and what we know he is capable of.
It seems as if he cannot quite set up the bike and is having clutch problems. Time and again he is being left at the starts.
Woodward was getting advice towards the end of the meeting from Eagles legend Martin Dugard, who was known as the Master of Arlington during his riding days.
He spoke to Woodward before the start of heat 14 and the two of them spent time on track after the meeting as Woodward completed a series of practice starts.
