The long association with Lewes AC by Carol and Graham Shuttleworth was recognised by both being made life members of the club.

Peter Masters the Chairman of the club also presented them with a book of photographs of their time with the club which spanned nearly thirty years.

Both were coaches at the club with Carol focusing on helping the young athletes and Graham specialising in coaching the throws. Their involvement in the early days of the club helped move the club from a handful of enthusiastic parents to the successful club of today with over 350 members.

Carol’s organisational abilities will be missed as will their deep involvement with the club’s twinning links with AS Marolles the club’s French twinned club. Their involvement and commitment has helped Lewes AC members develop many long and deep friendships links over the years.
