My new signature Red Dragon darts now on sale!
LAST Thursday evening, I played in the Hastings Premier League against Neil Blackford at the Pebsham Club.
I started off as I usually do, by roaring into a 5-1 lead, then letting it slip after the five-minute break after the sixth leg.
Fortunately, this week I managed to get my momentum going again and won the match 8-4.
I've a tough match this week, not that any are easy, but I have Adrian Gray and, spending all my time with him on the PDC Tour, I know what he can do. I'm sure it will be a good game though.
Friday night was the AGM for the Cracker League, and eight teams will contest it this year, so that is Friday nights taken care of in the winter.
On Saturday, I spent the day doing manual work in the garden – pretty rough for somebody who sits at a computer all day, so by the time the evening came, I could hardly move!
We went to the Royal Albert in Hastings for an exhibition night with Bob 'Limestone Cowboy' Anderson.
A former world champion, and the current League of Legends Champion, proves he can still throw a mean dart.
Ten people played him at 701, and he beat all but one. At the end I played him in a best of five-match which I lost 3-2, but considering I was walking around like a robot that needed oiling, I didn't play too badly.
Bob was a really great host for the evening, and a good night was had by all.
On Tuesday, our Kings Head team were away to the Grenadier.
To say we got a beating was an understatement. None of us played very well, and the end result was a 7-2 defeat. Not too good!
Wednesday, and it was my first home match for my new Superleague team from the Eastbourne Railway Club.
We were hosting the Tunbridge Wells team, and they got off to a flyer leading 3-0.
Chris Smith went on and won for us, then I played a very close match, coming out a 3-2 winner in a high scoring game.
Sadly our team went on to lose, but I was happy with my performance.
Some great news for me this week is that my own signature darts go on sale on the Red Dragon Darts website.
I signed a product sponsorship contract with them earlier in the year, have had the darts designed and made, and now they are available to buy.
It is a great feeling seeing my darts for sale, so if you want to have a look at them, or indeed want to buy any darts related goodies, go and check out www.reddragondarts.com and look for the 'Metalhead' range.
