Thinking of putting an ad in lost and found to rediscover my luck!

I'M thinking of putting an ad in next week's lost and found section. I seem to have misplaced my luck, and my doubles accuracy!

As with any sport I suppose, it all revolves around peaks and troughs.

I'm hoping that the past couple of weeks is clearing out all of the bad from my game ready for the restart of PDC events next week.

Last Thursday I played in the first night of the Leaflets Direct Premier League in Hastings.

I was playing Shayne Burgess, and having beaten him on our last two meetings, was feeling confident.

Shayne (right) had other ideas, and I lost 8-4. He produced a solid display, with a 102 average in the first half of the match. He wasn't number two in the world for no reason.

I didn't play much over the weekend; I was more intent on seeking some extreme weather at Heathfield Show.

Needless to say, I was very wet and cold, but took refuge from the elements in the food tent, so it wasn't all bad news!

Sunday afternoon, myself and Captain Sheebo had a bit of a practice session at the Kings Head.

Nothing spectacular happened there, but at least we had a few games.

Onto Tuesday's Harvey League, and Sheebo was out to get our season back on track.

He went on first and showed us what not to do, then we went on to win 8-1. He knows how to get the best from us!

Highlight of the night was Paul Hemsley's game, in which he whitewashed his opponent, playing some great darts.

Wednesday night was Superleague, and we were away to the Eastbourne Railway Club. I was drawn against Sussex county player Paul Russell. We have played each other a lot over the years and the results are about equal.

We had another great match that night, but, you've guessed it, my doubles eluded me (although I did manage to check out on 108).

I lost the match, despite having an average over 26, no consolation, but Paul played well.

Jim Withers won man of the match with a superb 32 average. Our team lost 5-4 overall on the night… again!

Finally, congratulations are in order to Donna Rainsley, from Hailsham.

Donna has qualifying for the last 32 qualifying tournament of the inaugural PDC Women's World Championship to be held in Barnsley on June 12.

We'll be there as well, as their competition is being run alongside our Pro Tour events that weekend.
