Peter and Dave score half Ringmer’s runs but it’s not enough to stop Forest Row winning comfortably

East Sussex Cricket League Division Four – Ringmer 2nd XI 132-9 Forest Row 133-3

FOREST Row beat Ringmer 2nd XI comfortably by seven wickets.

Ringmer’s laboured 132-9 saw veterans Peter Crees and Dave Smith contribute over half the runs, with Crees top scoring with 44 not out. Cameron Olsen led the Forest Row attack, taking 4-36, and the fielding was top rate, with every catch held.

Ringmer’s fielding, though determined, was less impressive and they dropped opener Steven Wright in the first over. He went on with his opening partner Daniel Gardner (54) to add over half the required total for the first wicket and Forest Row took the game easily enough, despite a hat-trick of stumpings from

Dave Smith and a tight spell on return to cricket from Andy Smith.
