Shearing joins Stringers from Oaks
Hailsham Town Football Club has announced the appointment of Dave Shearing as their new first team manager.
Shearing joins the Stringers from Wealden, having last season guided The Oaks to County League division two safety.
Chris Widdup will continue as reserve team manager, but the Beaconsfield outfit is looking for a youth team manager to replace Joey Stevens who is retiring from management.
The club statement released yesterday offered theit: "Many thanks to Joey for his continued support, dedication and loyalty over the years, where he has been a stalwart of the club.
Anyone interested in taking over from Stevens is asked to contact club secretary Sue Williams.
Meanwhile, pre-season training begins at The Beaconsfield on Thursday July 2 at 7pm. All players welcome.
The fixtures for pre-season friendlies are as follows: Saturday July 25, double header v Whyteleafe – 1.30pm kick-off, Tuesday July 28 v Westfield first team – 7.30 pm kick-off, Saturday August 1 double header v Craig Valley – 1.30 pm kick-off, Tuesday August 4 v Sidley first team – 7.30 pm kick-off.
