Eagles eye new commercial boss as Macdonald departs

Eastbourne Eagles have announced they are looking for a new commercial manager to replace Chris Macdonald, who has left the club.

A spokesman for the Eagles paid tribute to Mr Macdonald for his “innovative commercial initiatives” at the club.

A statement said: “We are disappointed that Chris Macdonald has decided to relinquish the position of commercial manager for the Eastbourne Eagles.

He has made a big contribution to the club and we sincerely thank him for all the work he has done.”

Anyone wishing to be considered can email details and CV to mikebellerby@sky.com

At the annual meeting of the speedway promoters’ association, Eastbourne came joint third in the track-of-the-year competition.

The award is voted on by referees who give marks on each visit to the circuit.

Adam Shieds has returned to the club. More online.
