Lahti top scores for second time in three nights – Tuesday’s Inside Line with Shaleman

Timo Lahti top scored for the Eastbourne Eagles for the second time in three nights as the Sussex side secured their first away win of the season.

They won at Belle Vue by 47-45 with Lahti collecting 16 points from seven rides, four heat wins and the fastest time of the night recorded in heat 4.

After ten races the Eagles were 35-27 down as the teams took the interval break.

What happened after that break was nothing short of sensational.

Guest Mad Korneliussen and Timo Lahti took a 4-2 in heat 11 after the home star Charlie Gjedde was excluded.

Timo Lahti and Simon Gustafsson then gated to a 5-1 in the re-run of heat 12 time after Belle Vue’s Artur Mroczka was excluded. Now it was very much game on.

In heat 13 Chris Harris fell on the first turn and was excluded. In the re-run Korneilessen and Bridger took a 5-1 to put Eastbourne two points in front.

And then in heat 14 Lahti popped out and did it again, this time with captain Cam Woodward in second place.

Eastbourne had won the match and all that remained to be determined was if they could make it four league points but it was not be as Gjedde and Harris took a 5-1 in the final race of the night.
