Two more riders suffered bad injuries in Monday night’s speedway.

Belle Vue’s Rory Schlein is facing a month out after breaking the fifth metarsal in his left foot after he fell in heat one of the Manchester team’s clash with Birmingham.

Wolves’ rider Tai Woffinden suffered a broken scaphoid after crashing in the Gary Peterson Memorial Meeting on his home track.

These injuries follow the tragic death of Lee Richardson in Poland on Sunday and a run of injuries in British speedway which has seen former world champion Gary Havelock, Chris Neath, Morton Risager and Eastbourne’s Joonas Kylmakorpi all sidelined.
