Hailsham Cricket Club celebrated a superbly successful NatWest Cricket Force on Saturday 11th April.

With a long list of jobs to do at the beginning of the day, the club were hopeful of completing them all throughout the day with the help of the clubs members.

The weather had other ideas and until 11:30 was extremely miserable, wet and windy. This took its effect on what could be completed, with painting and ground work having to be postponed. Around midday the sun came out and Cricket Force 2015 kicked off.

The whole pavilion fence and garden area were painted, cleaned and tidied by a determined group of members. The score box was painted, repaired and is ready for the first home game on the 25th April.

The cricket square was cut, spiked and rolled for 8 hours, also the artificial was brought back to life with some intense cleaning and edging. As usual this would not have been possible without the amazing support and work of our members, the club is now ready to attack the 2015 season, with the first preseason friendly next week (18th) away at Laughton.
