California-based Seahaven play Brighton’s Green Door Store on Thursday, April 17, on the back of the release of their album Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only.
Spokesman James Heward said the album captured the dreamy, sprawling, airy southern California mood embodied by the band’s surroundings.
“The subtle combination of an upper midwestern indie rock aesthetic with so-cal punk and post-punk heritage is brought to life by the uplifting natural production and orchestral
instrumentation found on the album. Warm, beach-y reverb blankets equally contemplative and carefree sounding pop that ebbs and flows with rising strings and deft percussion, making for Seahaven’s most interesting and engaging songs yet.”
