A crime will be solved on June 7 at The Denton in Worthing when the beach-side venue becomes a 1920s speakeasy for a night of murder and Hollywood hoodlums.

Set in 1923, the evening of dinner and drama unfolds against the background of Hollywood during Prohibition.

Despite the strict laws, there is plenty of moonshine to be found as the cast of film mogul Daryl Pancake’s new film eagerly await casting news.

The Spaghetti Murders has been in pre-production for the past two years but as dinner is served the announcement will be made about who will star in new picture.

Would-be detectives are invited to join Mr Pancake and his loyal assistant Miss Holly Wood at the prestigious event held at the speakeasy belonging to Seymour Guns.

The show is hosted by actors Brad Shaw and Tamara Wilder who greet diners in character and co-ordinate the evening.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged.

Each course of the dinner is interspersed by a theatrical scene and the chance for characters to be interviewed and clues gathered.

During the dessert, all diners are split into teams and must work out who committed the crime and the motive.

Only after accusations have been made will the truth finally be revealed.

Brad Shaw said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing The Spaghetti Murders to The Denton.

He continued: “It’s a great fun event, certainly something a bit different with a lot of laughs.

“It’s a night of mayhem, molls and murder!”
