The Big Chris Barber Band feature everything from New Orleans to blues to late 20s Ellington, played with extraordinary panache and skill. Barber is an icon of traditional jazz in the UK. Over the years Chris Barber has influenced many of today’s leading jazz and blues musicians, especially contemporary artists such as Mark Knopfler, Eric Burdon, John Mayall, The Stones, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison, with some of whose bands Chris has often been a featured guest with great pleasure.”
