Wind quintet brings playful performing style to St Leonard's Church, Seaford

Music lovers can enjoy a lunchtime concert by the LIPS Wind Quintet at St Leonard's Church, Church Street, Seaford, on Saturday, February 6, at 1pm.

The concert lasts about an hour and admission is free with a retiring collection.

Formed in 2014, the LIPS wind quintet – flute, clarinet, oboe, horn and bassoon – is formed of scientists, a software engineer and a lawyer, who play in some of London’s best amateur orchestras and chamber ensembles.

Playing almost every available genre of wind quintet music available, from the well-known to the unheard of, the quintet aims to bring an exuberant, playful and stylish approach to everything from Bach to Barber to Ligeti.

The next lunchtime concert takes place on Saturday, March 12 (1pm), with prize-winning pianist Rosemary Kemp and soprano Julia Kemp.
