Three of the world’s greatest artists come to Shoreham’s Ropetackle, Little High Street, via the medium of film.
Phil Grabsky presents Exhibitions Manet, Munch and Vermeer (Manet: Tuesday, September 10; Munch: Tuesday, October 15: and Vermeer: Tuesday, November 26). All start at 7.30pm. All tickets cost £10.
Ropetackle spokesman Mark Phillips said: “As an arts centre, we love to indulge in our arty side, so when the opportunity arose to screen three films by award-winning arts director Phil Grabsky on three of the greatest artists to have ever lived, we leapt at the chance.
“Beginning in September, we’ll be screening a film each month, which goes behind the scenes at three landmark exhibitions, all taking place this year, dedicated to Edouard Manet, Edvard Munch and Johannes Vermeer. A night for both art connoisseurs and amateurs alike.”
He continued: “These films are as close as you can get to visiting the actual exhibitions, plus additional insight from Grabsky, who will be giving a talk and Q&A session at each screening.”
