Madness, The Brighton Centre
The Nutty Boys came to the Brighton Centre on Saturday and the show was so popular that a matinee performance had to be added.
They released their new album, Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da, in October and they had some treats in store for Brighton.
The evening started with a big build-up before the band’s appearance and One Step Beyond was performed as their opening number. Everyone was jumping up and down cheering and that was how the evening carried on. Classic hits like Baggy Trousers and Our House kept everyone very happy. Tracks from their new album included My Girl 2, Never Knew Your Name and Misery.
It Must be Love was the final song but the audience weren’t having that. We got three more songs as an encore – Death of a Rude Boy, Madness and Night Boat to Cairo. The audience left with the Monty Python song Always Look on the Bright Side of Life playing, which had everyone singing along and smiling.
A great evening with a great atmosphere and stacks of nostalgia.
