The Burgess Hill Symphony Orchestra is beginning the final rehearsals for their forthcoming concert.
The show takes place at St Andrew’s Church, Junction Road, Burgess Hill, on Saturday, November 15 (7.30pm).
The concert is dedicated to the works of Mozart and Haydn and the programme will include The Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and Symphony No. 35 (The Haffner) by Mozart and Symphony 103 (The Drumroll) by Haydn.
Spokesperson Alison Biggs said the musicians are looking forward to this concert because they will be welcoming their guest soloist, for the Haydn Trumpet Concerto, from among their own ranks.
Alison explained: “Alice Boileau joined the BHSO three years ago when she moved to Sussex with her husband and three children and she has become a valuable member of the brass section of the orchestra.
“Alice has had a varied career as a freelance musician after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Orchestral Performance at the Royal College of Music. Her playing took her all over the UK and Europe.”
Tickets are on sale at Burgess Hill Town Help Point and from 01444 232067 at a cost of £11 or on the door for £13.
