Huge celebration of Motown music

Motown hits dominate an evening of songs by artists including The Four Tops, The Temptations and Smokey Robinson when Motown’s Greatest Hits – How Sweet It Is visits Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre on June 22 with a new singer in their line-up.

The five lead singers, including newest member Jason Jermaine, are backed by live band The Peter Brent Orchestra. Together they recreate the most popular tracks and trademark dance moves made famous by The Jacksons, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, The Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Edwin Starr and many more.

The celebration of music which rose to popularity after Berry Gordy Jnr started Motown records in Detroit in 1959 creates a musical journey through the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s with songs as varied as Walk Away Renee, My Girl, Going Loco in Acapulco, I Heard It Through The Grapevine and Dancing On The Ceiling.
