Hailsham Arts Festival, September 8 to 16.

THIS September sees the sixth annual Hailsham Arts Festival and there is plenty to look forward to - with a lively mixture of world music, art history, poetry, jazz, art and dance including exciting childrens’ events and a newly extended art trail.

One of the aims of the festival is to celebrate multiculture, this year we are delighted to welcome the Euphoria Steel band and the Brighton School of Samba performing a Caribbean fiesta, they will get your toes tapping and have you dancing in the aisles at Hailsham Pavilion on the September 15. Book early for this popular event. Kalamus have had to cancel because of illness and the African band Bakk Lamp Fall (pictured) have agreed to perform instead.

Another highlight is the festival art auction, now in its third year, which takes place on September 14. Look out for details in the festival brochure available at Gallery North and most High Street shops.

The festival is supported by Hailsham Town Council, Hailsham Pavilion and many local businesses.
