Prog pioneers head
to Ropetackle Centre

Three Friends return to Shoreham’s Ropetackle on the eve of their third tour to America and Mexico, performing the music of legendary prog rock band Gentle Giant.

“Gentle Giant made over a dozen strikingly-original and innovative albums in the 1970s and Three Friends have been performing this music to enthusiastic audiences around the world since 2009,” said Ropetackle spokesman Mark Phillips.

He continued: “Three Friends are led by two former members of Gentle Giant, Gary Green and Malcolm Mortimore, very ably assisted by musicians from Jethro Tull, 10cc, Lost & Found, and the War Of The Worlds Orchestras.

They are at the Ropetackle on Wednesday, April 2, starting at 8pm,

“Three Friends rarely perform in the UK and so their appearance at Ropetackle is a real exclusive.

“This is the only way to experience the music of Gentle Giant played live by original members of the band.

“Fans of King Crimson, Jethro Tull and YES will also appreciate the musical goodness of these progressive pioneers.”

Mark added: “Expect nothing less than sublime musicianship, stunning visuals, and spell-binding performances from a band that can truly be described as genuine giants of the prog rock genre.”
