Story of Abelard and Heloise bursts onto stage

English Touring Theatre, which is celebrating its 21st birthday this year, and the Globe Theatre on Tour have revived the critically acclaimed production of Howard Brenton’s Eternal Love, formerly titled In Extremis.

The play visits Theatre Royal Brighton from April 1 to 5.

With live music, a cast of eighteen, dynamic contemporary language and a stunning setting, the story of Abelard and Heloise bursts on to the stage. 

History is brought to life amid moments of highly entertaining  fiery philosophical debate and intense moments between the lovers.

David Sturzaker and Jo Herbert will be playing the lead roles.
